Stop the madness of war – start negotiations now! : Indibay

David Hartsoe is a prominent American Quaker and peace activist, civil rights leader, and writer who has dedicated himself to ending conflict, abolishing nuclear weapons, advancing civil rights for all, and bringing world peace through non-violent means.

David’s early life experiences with his Quaker parents inspired him to achieve his lifelong goals. His firsthand witness on behalf of blacks during a dinner table sit-in in the South led him to his death at the hands of a white supremacist. His faith in the power of words of love saved his life. He was influenced by the life of Gandhi and the Reverend Martin Luther King, whom he met in 1956. For more than 50 years, David has traveled the world, meeting peacemakers with whom he shares bonds of non-violence, justice and peace. His urgent message now is the danger of nuclear war and what we can do to stop it.

Many of us have worked with David for years on these issues and are looking forward to his “view” on the current escalation of the war in Ukraine. We will hear his thoughts on how to end this dangerous war and start peace negotiations.
