7 Recent Hospital and Health System CEO Moves

The following steps were announced by the CEO of Hospitals and Health Systems: Becker from 17 January.

1. Mark Holyoke, BSN, has been appointed CEO of Lourdes Health, based in Pasco, Washington.

2. Scott Phillips resigned as acting CEO of El Centro Regional Medical Center (California) after Healthcare Management Partners, where he is managing director, terminated the contract with the hospital.

3. Cathy Edmisten, RN, has been named CEO of HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in downtown Sun City.

4. Teresa Gunther was named permanent CEO of Avera Creighton Hospital (Nebraska) after serving in a temporary position. She will continue as Vice President of Quality at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota, although some of her responsibilities will be redeployed.

5. Stan Holm is no longer President and CEO of Olathe (Kan.) Health after the health system became part of the University of Kansas Health System at Kansas City. Jason Hannagan, Chief Outpatient/Legal Officer of Olathe Health, will serve as Acting CEO.

6. Steve Gordon has retired to serve as interim CEO of Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, New Hampshire.

7. Michelle Krause, MD, has been named CEO of UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas and Senior Vice Chancellor of UAMS Health.
