WATCH: Video shows accused terrorist Saifullo Saipov being run over by an NYPD officer

Jurors in the Manhattan trial of Saifullo Saipov saw video of an accused terrorist facing bullets from a city cop after his terror trail was stopped.

Surveillance footage released by federal prosecutors on Tuesday shows an NYPD officer shooting Saipov on the West Side Highway after the accused terrorist drove a rental truck a mile down the bike path on Halloween 2017, killing eight people and injuring 11 human.

An enraged Saipov runs between yellow taxis on the road – shotgun and paintball gun in each hand – after he crashed into a school bus near Chambers Street. A woman and a child on a school bus were injured.

The dramatic scenes were shown to jurors last week at Saipov’s trial in Manhattan Federal Court. The 34-year-old man pleaded not guilty to 28 counts.

Prosecutors have produced a detailed account of how Saipov rented a truck from Home Depot in Passaic, New Jersey, and drove to Manhattan, where he blazed a gruesome, mile-long bike path that paralleled the Hudson River. The park.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. If the jury finds Saipov guilty of crimes deserving the death penalty, they will reconvene to determine whether he is sentenced to death or sent to prison for life.

Saipov’s lawyer, David Patton, told jurors that his client was guilty of murder but did not riot in an attempt to join the Islamic State terrorist group known as ISIS. In his opening remarks, Patton said that Saipov was motivated by a false desire to become a martyr.

He said his client from Uzbekistan was radicalized after immigrating to the US during his previous job as a truck driver. Patton said Saipov spent time on his long-distance travels devouring conspiracy theories about a “global war on Islam” online.
