Vision of Children Foundation to host “Sip to See, Springtime Tea” to support critical vision research
The Children’s Vision Foundation will host a Spring Tea Party on Wednesday, May 3 at La Jolla Country Club from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Sip to See, Springtime Tea is co-chaired by Christy Pieper and Ginger Levy. This fun afternoon event will include a full tea set, elite opportunity raffles and boutique shopping where vendors will donate a portion of their proceeds to The Vision of Children.
Guests will be able to mingle with each other in beautiful La Jolla while supporting a worthy cause. The event will also feature a special speaker, Dr. Ann Hanneken, an ophthalmologist and assistant professor of molecular medicine at the Scripps Research Institute.

Santa Fe ranchers Sam and Vivian Hardage founded Vision of Children in 1991 after their son was born with ocular albinism. At the time, there were no researchers studying this rare genetic eye disorder, for which there is no cure or cure. The Hardags were determined to encourage scientific research to find a cure for this congenital disease. Today, celebrating more than 30 years of research, Vision of Children is the world’s leading organization supporting research into ocular albinism and related visual impairment. .
Proceeds from Sip to See, Springtime Tea will help fund critical vision research to find cures for genetic visual impairments and childhood blindness, and provide support services for visually impaired children and their families.
