Two young BMW passengers killed near Kennedy Airport when teenage driver accelerated and overturned car

Two young BMW passengers were killed near Kennedy Airport early Monday when the teenage driver crashed into the median and their car overturned, police said.

The 19-year-old driver was heading out of the airport on the JFK Expressway when he lost control while approaching the Belt Parkway around midnight, police said.

The 16-year-old passenger died at the scene, and his friend, believed to be in his 20s, was rushed to a Jamaica hospital by paramedics but could not be saved. Their names are not immediately released.

Medics took the driver to a Jamaica hospital in a stable condition. He was not immediately charged.
