Two killed in Newhall shooting
Two people were killed in the Newhall shooting and emergency response services were required at two different locations in Santa Clarita, according to Los Angeles County air traffic control and reports from the scene.
The incident was first called in connection with two victims who received gunshot wounds.

According to the Los Angeles County Radio Communications Control Center, the incident resulted in the response of emergency responders to the Silverado at Newhall Avenue and the Stater Brothers parking lot at 26900 Sierra Highway.
“Firefighters received a call from the sheriff about a possible shooting,” said Martin Rangel, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at the scene in Silverado at 11:01 am.
In the Stater Brothers parking lot, police detained two suspects at gunpoint at 10:59 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Dispatch.

Deputies searched a white Ford Mustang in the Stater Brothers parking lot.
Deputies in the Stater Brothers parking lot said there are two scenes related to the incident and both are under investigation.

According to reports from the scene in Silverado, two people died as a result of the shooting.
