TikToker claims this is the ultimate hack to get out of jury duty

A TikToker is sharing his “get out of jail free” hack to getting out of jury duty.

Hunter Kaimi, who goes by @hunterkaimi on the platform, griped in a video posted Monday that he was trying to get excused from jury duty.

“Why would I want to do jury duty? It’s f – – king dumb,” he exclaimed.

In his video — which has 778,800 likes and 3.1 million views as of Thursday — he shared that he had to fill out a questionnaire to make sure he was fit to be a juror and that he didn’t have any biases.

“I was waiting to, like, put an answer in there that be like my get out of jail free, and I found it,” he said.

He was asked a question about where he got his news. He was told to “Please be specific; do not just list ‘newspaper’ or ‘internet,’ ” as seen in a screen grab Kaimi put on the screen.

He simply answered, “TikTok.”

“If that doesn’t get me out of jury duty, I don’t know what will,” he joked.

Kaimi said his options were either to skip work and not get paid, which he claims he can’t afford to do, or sit in a courtroom until December when his jury duty would be up.

In a follow-up video, he responded to a comment that asked if he would still want to get out of jury duty if it were a case where he would be able to keep someone out of jail.

“If my jury duty case involved protecting an innocent person going to jail for, like, a little (bit) of weed, sure,” he explained. “If it involves someone who is a victim of a hate crime or a police brutality case, 100% I would do it.”

Kaimi claims he’s already breaking the rules by telling his audience details of the case — but that’s “just one more reason to not pick me.” A family is saying fluorescent lights gave them a disease, or, as he describes it, the case is “a sh – – tier version of ‘Better Call Saul.’ ”
