This airline worker looks defeated by life – he will rise like the hero we need
An airline passenger captured the moment an employee standing on the airstairs seized the moment, sat down and looked defeated – or at least contemplating life – probably before rising again to face the airport’s troubles. Solemn look of the worker All.

What a contrast to the time when they are having fun on the ramp.
If you were a teenager in the mid-1960s, you could close the door to your room and blow up Simon and Garfunkel. i rock. When I was growing up in the 90s, it might have been the unsettling grunge Seattle sound. Now everyone has grown up, the office worker can just close the door, as if they are in a meeting, watch avidly Last of us on your computer while ChatGPT 4 is doing its jobs.
However, if you train on the ramp, you still experience the same longing for life. You just have nowhere to go and no music to blow. But existential anxiety remains.
Management may not like this and may not support efforts to get out on time exactly, but sometimes you need to pause and think, what does it all mean? before returning to work. And if you’re doing union work that AI can’t replace, well, you feel pretty good about your ability to do it.
