The woman has been charged with dragging a Plainfield officer, leading a police chase and possessing more than 160 bags of drugs.

A woman was arrested on Thursday after she was allegedly found with more than 160 bags of drugs at her home in Musupe following a police chase, police said.

The Plainfield Police Department spotted a white Kia with New Jersey license plates driving northbound on Norwich Road on Jan. 26. Officers stopped the car and identified the driver as 33-year-old Lynn Navan from previous interactions.

According to police, Navan refused to identify herself and refused to get out of the car when asked. Navan closed the door, and when the officers tried to open it again, she drove and dragged the officer a short distance. According to police, the officer was not injured.

Plainfield police pursued Navan’s car but pulled away “due to reckless behavior and the high speed at which Navan was moving,” the police said. The Connecticut State Police soldiers in Danielson again tried to stop her, but again pulled away.

During the investigation of the incident, the police determined that Navan was hiding at an address on Gendron Road in Musupe. Plainfield police responded to the house and spoke to Adrienne Galipo, who said that Navan was not inside. According to police, Galipo refused to allow the police to search the house and allegedly did not cooperate with their investigation.

The police said that for a short period of time they monitored the house and watched as Galipo sneaked Navan out the back door. According to police, Navan was arrested without further incident.

Police allegedly found 166 bags of fentanyl, cocaine, Xanax, drug paraphernalia, items used to sell drugs, and more than $800 in cash on Navan, police said.

Navan was charged with possession of drugs, possession of drugs with intent to sell, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, traveling unreasonably fast, operating without a license, engaging in stalking, threatening to harm a minor, recklessly endangering, and possession of a drug paraphernalia.

She was held in lieu of a $50,000 bail. According to court records, her next court appearance is set for February 7.

Galipo was also arrested. She was charged with interfering with the police, but was later released on a promise to appear. She is due to appear in Danielson Supreme Court on February 2.
