The United States will send ammunition and tank trucks to Ukraine

WASHINGTON (AP) — The US is poised to announce it will send $350 million worth of arms and equipment to Ukraine, US officials said Monday, as heavy fighting continues with Russian troops for control of the city of Bakhmut and troops prepare for the expected spring. offensive.

The latest aid package includes a large number of different types of munitions, such as rockets for highly mobile artillery missile systems, as well as an undisclosed number of fuel trucks and river boats, officials said. Officials said it would be announced later on Monday.

It happened on Monday when Chinese leader Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow to politically raise Russian President Vladimir Putin against the West, just days after an international warrant was issued to arrest the Kremlin leader on charges of Ukraine-related war crimes.

Officials said American aid would be drawn from the Pentagon’s stockpile through the president’s spending cut powers so it could be quickly delivered to the front. The United States has provided more than $32.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity as the aid package had not yet been announced publicly.
