February 21 – MINNEAPOLIS. Three people from northern Minnesota were charged with a drug trafficking conspiracy that brought fentanyl and methamphetamine to the Red Lake Nation and surrounding areas.

Derek John Paddy, 27, of Bemidji, Erica Dawn Bellanger, 25, of Bemidji, and Raymond Allen Drouillard, 44, of Trail knowingly and deliberately colluded with each other and others to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to a US Department of Justice report.

All three are charged with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Paddy and Bellanger were charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, while Drouillard was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, the report said.

Paddy and Bellanger first appeared in U.S. District Court late last week. Druyard first appeared on January 5th.

This case is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Upper River Safe Trails Task Force, the Paul Bunyan Narcotics Task Force, the Minnesota Crime Bureau, the Bemidji Police Department, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, and Red Lake. Police Department.
