Suspect arrested in apartment complex shooting that killed two people

Fort Worth, Texas – A suspect has been apprehended by Fort Worth police in connection with a double murder that occurred on Friday morning in southwest Fort Worth at the Club at Stonegate Apartments.

Officers were sent in a response to a gunshot report in the 4100 block of Stonegate Blvd at approximately 7 a.m. Reportedly, the caller told authorities they could not provide additional details on the incident over the phone.

Upon the arrival of the responding officers at the scene, a witness approached them, saying shots were being fired.

After entering the apartment, the officers discovered two individuals dead from what seemed to be gunshot wounds.

The identities of the victims are being withheld until their relatives are notified.

The authorities took one person to the police station for questioning and determined they were responsible for the shooting incident. According to the police, the suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant unconnected to the incident that took place earlier.

The name of the suspect was not made public.

Homicide investigators are currently looking into the incident, and they have not provided any information on a possible motive for the shooting.
