Super Bowl 57: Donna Kelsey becomes the first mother to have two sons play against each other in the Super Bowl.

PHILADELPHIA — Seeing your children succeed is what every parent wants. But for Donna Kelche, the success of both her sons will create a conflict of interest.

Donna’s two sons Jason and Travis are NFL stars, both stalwarts of their Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, and the entire Kelsey family had a memorable day Sunday when the Eagles and Chiefs both booked their tickets to Super Bowl LVII in Arizona, where they will fight each other for the Lombardi trophy.

When they do, Donna will officially become the first mother to have two sons play against each other in the Super Bowl, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

She noted that her sons had reached the Super Bowl, tweeting:

“#HeightsHighandUCBearcatSuperBowl” is a reference to both sons attending Cleveland Heights High School and the University of Cincinnati.

Although they won’t actually hit the field at the same time, as both are offensive players – Jason is an All-Pro center and Travis is an All-Pro tight end – it will most likely be difficult for Donna to keep track of the game, as each of her sons will be looking to qualify for their second career Super Bowl.

Both played vital roles in their teams reaching the 2022 season finale, with Jason rocking the Eagles in their dominant NFC Championship win over the San Francisco 49ers, and Travis finishing with seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown against “Cincinnati Bengals”. AFC Championship.

Unfortunately for Donna, unlike what she has done in the past, she was unable to watch both of her sons in action in the conference championship due to the Sunday game schedule.

Last year’s postseason, Donna was able to zip from Tampa to Kansas City to watch the Eagles and Chiefs play their Wild Card games on the same day.

According to Donna, she personally watched Jason play in Philadelphia before watching Travis play at Lincoln Financial Field.

“Your hopes and dreams come true, but those are also your worst fears,” FOX 8’s Donna P.J. Ziegler told FOX 8. “Someone will go home a loser, and neither of them will lose very well.”
