Storm pattern ends after weeks of rain in Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (CGO) — The end of our turbulent model is not far off. We’ve been dealing with weeks of rain that has had a positive effect on our drought, but has also caused an onslaught of problems across California.

Our rainy picture began the day after Christmas and continued until the New Year. More rain is expected on Friday and this weekend, and on Saturday morning we will be hit by a strong Level 3 storm on the exclusive ABC7 Storm Impact scale.

The ground is completely saturated with water, and we expect more pockets of flooding to occur over the next few days, as well as more trees to fall. The showers are expected to continue until early next week.

There are strong signals that our storm parade will end around January 20th. This will give us at least a few days of respite from any atmospheric rivers hitting California.
