Smelly woman accused of string of Christmas robberies arrested, FBI says

Earlier this month, a security camera video was released in which the woman was described as “nicely dressed” and “strongly smelling of body odor.”

HOUSTON. A woman who was caught on video during a robbery a week before Christmas has been arrested. FBI in Houston.

In early January, Houston police and the FBI released CCTV footage in the hope that someone would identify the woman, who was described as “well-dressed” and “strongly smelling of body odor.”

The woman was wanted in connection with at least four robberies in one week.

The FBI said the woman arrested on unrelated charges and that more details will be released soon.

Surveillance video shows her wearing a black baseball cap with blonde or gray hair tucked in, a green camouflage mask, black coat, black pants, and high heels.

In each case, she picked up a note, demanded money, and tossed a light-coloured cash bag over the counter. The woman also carried a large black bag.

Case 1

The first robbery took place at a hotel in the 5100 Hidalgo block near the West Loop around 8:30 pm on December 19th.

The woman told the clerk that her partner in crime was armed and waiting outside.

Case #2

The next day, a woman robbed a sandwich shop at 6100 Westheimer around 9:20 pm.

Case #3

On December 21, she crashed into another hotel in the 5100 block of Westheimer near Sage Road around 4:50 pm.

Case #4

On December 23, a busy robber robbed a bank in the 7900 block of Westheimer near South Voss Road around 5:20 pm.

In all four cases, the woman fled with an unknown amount of cash.

She left the first three robberies on foot, but the last time she left in a dark-colored sedan.
