Sheriff seeks the death penalty in Goshen, California in a shooting that killed 6 people; suspects still at large

TULARE COUNTY, California — Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreau is calling for the death penalty for those responsible for the murder of six people in Goshen earlier this month.

During a press conference on Monday, the sheriff confirmed that all six victims had died from gunshot wounds. He added that 16-year-old Alyssa Parraz and her baby, 10-month-old Nicholas Parraz, were shot in the head.

The massacre took place on the morning of January 16 in a house on Harvest Avenue near Route 68.

No arrests have been made in the case, but Boudreau believes the shooters are gang-related.

He said that when the arrests were made, he would like Gov. Gavin Newsom to lift the ban on the death penalty in cases of killing young children.

“This case should be sentenced to death,” Boudreau said.

There is currently a reward of over $20,000 for any information leading to arrests.

Three people survived the shooting. Two of them were in the trailer and the other was in the house.

Boudreau called the attack a “cartel” shooting that was methodical and relentless.
