Sexual harassment suspect arrested

The man was arrested for a series of sexual assaults, including at least one in Santa Monica.

Anthony Pittman was arrested March 14 in West Hollywood and is charged with a series of crimes committed in August and September 2022 against homeless women.

DNA evidence was used to link three separate attacks, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. This evidence eventually led Pittman to be identified as a suspect, and following his arrest, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office filed three counts of forcible rape, one count of forcible sodomy, one count of digital penetration, and one count of sexual battery. .

Notable crimes have occurred in Santa Monica and in two LAPD jurisdictions (Northeastern County and Wilshire County). Although Pittman was found in West Hollywood, Los Angeles officials listed him as homeless.
