SEE IT: Man furious over parking ticket pummels traffic agent in Brooklyn

A man furious about a parking ticket pushed an NYPD traffic agent to the ground and pummeled him in Brooklyn, police said Tuesday.

The on-duty agent had just slapped a ticket on the dashboard of a yellow 2022 Volkswagen GTI parked on Avenue Z near E. 16th St. in Sheepshead Bay around 12:50 p.m. Monday when the man approached him, police said.

Video released by police shows the two arguing as the driver gets closer to the agent, screaming in his face.

The belligerent points toward the street several times before knocking the agent’s hat off his head.

The agent then advanced toward the man but appeared to hold himself back from touching him.

When the angry driver shoved the agent, the two began physically fighting.

The man is seen pushing the agent up against a white car parked behind the Volkswagen before the video cuts off.

Off camera, the agent ended up on the ground while the man punched him repeatedly about the body, police said.

The attacker took off in the Volkswagen with New York license plates.

The traffic cop was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island in stable condition.

Police are asking the public’s help in identifying the man and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
