Runners, walkers and padres are pedaling for the cause!

This morning, hundreds of runners and walkers made their way down the Embarcadero in San Diego during the Padres Pedal the Cause fundraiser. They participated in 5K Walk/Run!

Many thumbs up and smiles spontaneously appeared as the stream of people flowed down the boardwalk.

Funds have been raised for Curebound, an organization that helps further cancer research. The local institutions they help include the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center, the Salk Institute, the Sanford Burnham Prebis Medical Discovery Institute, Ready Children’s Hospital, the La Jolla Immunology Institute, and the Scripps Research Center.
