Rainfall total: At least 1 inch of rain for almost all of San Diego County – and the storm isn’t over yet
Much of San Diego County received an inch or more of rain from an atmospheric river storm that was expected to bring rainy days to the region.
The storm moved on Sunday night but actually began hitting San Diego County late Monday and Tuesday, when the strongest part of the storm could produce showers at a rate of 0.75 inches per hour. Roads were flooded and sinkholes began to form in some areas before San Diego got a rain break on Tuesday afternoon.
NBC 7 meteorologist Sheena Parveen said more rain is expected from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, although it will be less heavy than what we have received so far.
