Two-vehicle collision at South Gramercy Place leaves 1 dead and 1 injured
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 21, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a head-on collision on West Florence Avenue killed one person and hospitalized another. Emergency personnel responded to the incident around 1:11 a.m. in the 7:00 p.m. block of West Florence and Gramercy Place South. Upon arrival, officials learned that one of the two vehicles traveling through Florence had crossed the center line. After that, he collided with another vehicle that was moving towards him. The cause of the incident remains unknown. Unfortunately, the 42-year-old driver of the car was seriously injured and died at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification from next of kin. Meanwhile, paramedics took the other driver to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
