Off-duty San Diego Police Officer Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges

A San Diego police officer has been arrested in Mira Mesa on charges of domestic violence, the SDPD reported Friday.

Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the emergency services received a call reporting domestic violence involving an SDPD officer on duty in Mira Mesa.

Police said officers on duty arrived at the scene and arrested Officer James Walker on charges of domestic violence. He was placed in the San Diego County Jail.

Walker was removed from his post and his powers as peace officer were stripped pending the completion of the criminal and domestic investigation, the SDPD said in a statement.
