NYPD makes shocking discovery in Range Rover’s back seat after car crash

Cops responding to a Queens car crash Wednesday made an astonishing discovery in one of the seats — a man shot in the head — police said.

The chaos unfolded at the intersection of Parsons Blvd. and Franklin Ave. in East Flushing around 4:15 p.m. when the driver of a black Range Rover slammed into the back of a white van waiting at a red light, cops said.

The driver of the Range Rover jumped out of the car and took off on foot, abandoning the vehicle.

When police arrived to the scene, they found the 48-year-old gunshot victim with a bullet in the head in the backseat of the Range Rover, police said.

He was taken to Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where he died. Police did not immediately release his identity.

The driver of the van was taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police were still searching for the Range Rover driver late Wednesday night.
