Jenkins, appointed by Adams in January 2022, informed his senior staff of his resignation in a private meeting on Tuesday afternoon, sources say. He plans to publicly announce it Tuesday night on NY1, they added.

Representatives for Adams and Jenkins did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
