No casualties reported in Sonoma County train derailment
Authorities are investigating a train derailment that occurred on Thursday in Sonoma County.
The incident happened around 7:00 pm Thursday in Shellville.
According to the Shell Vista Fire Department, a slow-moving train carrying a grain of corn overturned, spilling the corn all over the place.
The track is owned by Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit. But the cars are owned by a private company not affiliated with SMART.
No injuries were reported as a result of the derailment.
The reason is yet to be clarified, cleaning continues.
