New documents shed light on past allegations against Darron Price, a suspect in the San Francisco home bombing.

SAN FRANCISCO (CGO) — We learn more about the 53-year-old man who is accused of running a drug lab at his San Francisco home in Outer Sunset and causing a deadly explosion last week that killed his wife and seriously injured his wife’s caretakers.

This man, Darron Price, is due in court on Friday.

Exactly one week has passed since a devastating explosion and fire destroyed the house where the suspect Price lived.

The day before he was arrested by the police, Price learned that his wife had died in the explosion.

Several neighbors have identified this photo here on his Facebook page as 51-year-old Rita Price.

Her friend created a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.

Court documents show Thursday that Price was charged with manslaughter, manufacturing a controlled substance, four counts of reckless arson, two counts of endangering children and one count of elder abuse.

Price has two children, aged 14 and 17, who were at school when the explosion occurred.

The documents also stated that Price “used a volatile solvent to chemically extract concentrated cannabis within 300 feet of an apartment building…”

Price had previously been convicted of first-degree burglary in 1993.

During his first court appearance on Wednesday, prosecutors said butane fumes from Price’s drug lab at his home may have interacted with the dryer, causing the explosion.

According to the San Francisco District Attorney’s office, investigators found “presumably butane tanks, stoves, and other materials consistent with the processing of hash oil with volatile solvents.”

We asked Price’s neighbor Nang Phommawongsai about this.

“It’s very surprising and very devastating, especially if you have some business in a residential area, you have children, and you know that your neighbors have children and there are a lot of elderly people living there,” Fommavongsai said.

Nang, her husband and daughter lost their entire home and all their possessions. She shared these photos of her house before and after the explosion.

They are simply grateful to the community for continuing to support them through yet another GoFundMe campaign.

Rita Price’s caretaker, who received severe burns, remains in the hospital.

The community can also help the caregiver through her GoFundMe campaign.
