Most expensive home in Denver lists for $28.88M

It doesn’t get pricier than this.

This sprawling Colorado compound is the most expensive house for sale in the state’s capital city of Denver. The $28.88 million estate hit the market Monday. The Agency Denver managing partners Kacey Bingham and Jared Blank have the listing

“Clearview Farm offers the incredibly rare opportunity to own nearly 15 acres in the heart of Cherry Hills Village,” Bingham told The Post of the sprawling property, which is located in the the less-than-7,000-person City of Cherry Hills Village, a home rule municipality that’s part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood metropolitan area. “There has never been a property, on this much acreage, with a 1.5-acre pond, and unobstructed views to be offered to the market before.”

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom estate is also unique in the Village for being new construction, as the area is known for its traditional, legacy properties.

Spread across more than 13,700 square feet, the two-story main house is situated on the property’s highest point, offering sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains, the lush foliage and the rest of the property. The layout was conceived as four connected barns.

The exterior is sided with wood preserved through an ancient Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban — in which the surface is charred with a hot flame, enhancing its durability and prolonging its life without the use of chemicals. The $28.88 million asking price itself is meant to reflect the Japanese influence on the architecture by repeatedly incorporating the number eight, which in Japanese culture is a symbol of prosperity.

In addition to being physically and financially enormous, the pastoral retreat also boasts agriculture-zoned fields and equestrian facilities, 22-foot ceilings, a side deck with retractable sunshades, a 75-foot lap pool, an elevator, a driveway snowmelt system, indoor parking for six cars and a steam room.

There’s also a two-bedroom, one-bathroom, 2,620-square foot guest house just down the hill from the main house. It has its own water feature-lined entryway and is adjacent to the pond.
