Mega Millions jackpot rises to $272 million

LOS ANGELES – No tickets with all six numbers were sold in the latest multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw, and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday’s draw rises to $272 million.

Two tickets with five numbers have been sold, but no mega number, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which hosts the game, announced. One sold in South Carolina is worth $3 million because the player used the Megaplier option, where for an extra $1, any non-jackpot prize is multiplied by the Megaplier number rolled.

One sold in Michigan is worth $1 million.

Numbers 26, 28, 29, 39, 49 were drawn on Friday, and the Mega number was 25. The approximate jackpot was $254 million.

The draw was the 13th since the last sale of a ticket with all six numbers.

According to the California Lottery, the odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega Number are 1 in 302,575,350. The overall chance of winning the prize is 1 in 24.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands.
