Police have identified the man they say attacked a Jewish person in Central Park, screaming “Kanye 2024″ and anti-Semitic slurs.
Suspect Perin Jacobchuk, 32, is accused of sneaking up behind a 63-year-old man in the park near Terrace Drive and East Drive around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14, cops said.
“F— you, Jew!” Jacobchuk screamed, along with “Kanye 2024!”
Just weeks before the attack, rapper Kanye West praised Adolf Hitler on a podcast hosted by right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Jacobchuk sucker-punched the victim, knocking him to the ground, police said.
The crazed man ran off west on E. 72nd St. carrying a bicycle full of items, including a sign that read “Hungry Disabled,” cops said.
The victim suffered a chipped tooth and a broken hand in the attack. He took himself to an area hospital for treatment.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the attack.
Police ask anyone with information on Jacobchuk’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
