So this April, the hospitality brand will begin offering guests an in-room mood enhancer during their stay, courtesy of Mother Nature herself. The Plant Pals program was born out of Kimpton ESG’s (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitment to finding local offerings and working with like-minded people. As part of this initiative, the company partnered with a Brooklyn-based black, non-binary, queer influencer. Plant Quinn.

With experience in many types of vegetation, Plant Kween has helped Kimpton select unique plant varieties native to the global region in which each property is located and procure them in a sustainable manner. Taking into account her advice and recommendations, each hotel worked with local suppliers to find suitable plant species.

Upon request, guests can select a botanical buddy from their Kimpton Hotel’s local plant menu, available depending on each property’s location, to enjoy in their room. Each comes with care tips with a unique nameplate, such as Morgan Treeman, Snake Gyllenhaal and Nagini (snake plant).

To take advantage of the free program, guests can simply call the front desk anytime before or after check-in and request that their room have a Plant Pal of their choice to make their stay red.
