SAN ANGELO, Texas — If you see smoke in the area towards Howard College Thursday (and maybe Friday), the City of San Angelo Development Corporation will be burning several large brush piles at the San Angelo Business & Industrial Park across US Hwy 67N from Howard College.

Burning could extend to Friday, Oct. 7, if necessary, and so long as weather permits. The burn will start at sunrise with all fires extinguished by sunset, a release from the City of San Angelo said.

MWC Interests Inc. will be conducting the burn, utilizing licensed professionals.

This burn has been permitted through the City’s Fire Marshal’s Office and will be monitored as required. Fire suppression equipment will be on-site during the process.
