Highway 85 southbound in San Jose closed due to flooding: CHP
Highway 85 South remained closed south of the De Anza Boulevard exit in San Jose early Wednesday after the roadway was flooded Tuesday evening.
The California Highway Patrol said the cars were stuck in the water just after 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, and began diverting southbound traffic from the highway via the Des Anza Boulevard exit shortly before 8:00 pm.
Despite signs and cones warning motorists, CHP said several vehicles continued through the closure after 11 p.m. and crews had to remove them from the flooded roadway.
