Free One-Day Trumpet Masterclass at Angelo State University
SAN ANGELO, Texas. At the age of seven, Elmer Churampi was already playing trumpet with the National Youth Orchestra of Peru in his native country.
Now as an adult, Churampi is a member of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and will be giving a free trumpet masterclass at Angelo State University at 4:00 pm on February 27.
Participants of all ages are encouraged to attend this event at the Eldon Black Concert Hall, 2602 Dena Drive, to see the New England Academy of Music graduate at work.
Before joining the Dallas Symphony, Churampi previously performed with the National Symphony of Peru (as a child), the Boston Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony.
His skills will be showcased on the 27th with several presentations as well as a short speech.
This event is hosted by the ASU Music Education Program.
