Fight at Queens nightclub leads to murder of young man: NYPD
An altercation at a nightclub in Queens ended in bloodshed after it spilled into the street and a gunman shot and killed a 19-year-old man and wounded a woman early Saturday morning, police said.
The shooting took place at the Amadeus nightclub on Albion Avenue, near Queens Boulevard. in Elmhurst around 4 am, the police said.
Details about the dispute were not immediately available. Whatever the outcome of the differences, the parties brought them out. The man in a blue hoodie then pulled out a gun and fired, hitting the 19-year-old victim in the back and shoulder, police said. A 31-year-old woman was hit in the buttocks.
Ambulances took both victims to Elmhurst Hospital, where the teenager died. His name is not immediately released as the cops are looking for relatives.
Police say the woman will survive.
The bandit jumped into a black and white Cadillac Escalade, which sped down the street. No arrests were made.
The dance venue was hosting a “Coldest Winter” celebration with four DJs mixing dance music when a fight broke out in the club.
On Saturday, investigators combed the area looking for CCTV footage that could help them identify the shooter.
