Famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin got married in Los Angeles on his 93rd birthday.

LOS ANGELES — Buzz Aldrin, the famous astronaut and the second man to walk on the moon, celebrated his 93rd birthday by sharing important news: he is married!

Aldrin and his wife, Dr. Anka Fore, married in a private ceremony in Los Angeles.

The former astronaut posted the photos to his Twitter account, saying they were “thrilled like teenagers”.

“On my 93rd birthday And on the day that I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation, I am happy to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anka Faur And I tied the knot,” the tweet read.

Aldrin flew three spacewalks as pilot of the Gemini 12 mission in 1966.

He has been married three times already. Faur holds a PhD in chemical engineering.
