Empire State Building plans to light up Eagles (or Chiefs) team colors after every Super Bowl LVII touchdown

It looks like Giants fans will have to suffer to see the Empire State Building in the green and white of the hated Philadelphia Eagles.

New Yorkers won't be happy to see the Empire State Building turn green again.

The world-famous skyscraper will turn into a “virtual scoreboard” during the Super Bowl between the Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, with touchdowns lighting up sparkling lights in the colors of the scoring team, according to the Empire State Building’s Twitter account.

At the end of the game, the colors of the winning team will illuminate the building.

“Oh, this again??” one user commented.

New Yorkers were shocked last month when Midtown’s historic landmark was flooded with green and white after the Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. The building’s twitter account wrote “Fly, eagles, fly! We’ll be green and white to celebrate the Eagles NFC championship win,” sparking outrage from local fans who felt betrayed by the city’s most famous symbol.

@NYCMayor I want to report a crime.” tweetedwriter David Hill, who tagged Mayor Eric Adams’ account after looking at Eagle colors in a city full of Giant and Jet fans.

“No one wants this… You’re embarrassing yourself” – another user commented.
