Electricity Company to Donate $50 to UPMC for Each New Customer

Electricity and natural gas supplier NRG will donate $50 per new electricity customer and $25 per new natural gas customer to the UPMC Child Health Foundation in Pittsburgh after the company selected the healthcare system as a beneficiary of its Choose to Give program.

In addition, the company will donate one percent of each client’s account annually for as long as the client remains in the plan. According to a January 27 NRG press release, UPMC Children’s is the sixth pediatric healthcare system to receive this program.

The Choose to Give program has raised over $9 million since it launched in 2016.
