Deshaun Watson returns to Houston for his first NFL game in 700 days | Live on KHOU 11

All eyes will be Houston’s former signal caller as the Texans take on the Browns Sunday afternoon.

HOUSTON — Live updates:

Rust has been the name of the game for Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns, but they still lead 14-8 in the 3rd quarter.

Kyle Allen started the game for the Houston Texans with an interception. Houston managed a takeaway right back after Watson completed a pass to Anthony Schwartz which was promptly fumbled.

The Texans picked up a safety minutes later to take a 5-0 lead after Nick Chubb was tackled in the end zone.

Houston was unable to capitalize on their momentum right before Donovan Peoples-Jones ran a punt back 76 yards for a touchdown to make it 7-5.

All eyes will be on Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, who returns from his 11-game suspension for alleged sexual misconduct to make his debut against his former team.

Watson spent four seasons with the Texans before asking to be traded and eventually being dealt to the Browns for three first-round draft picks. It will be Watson’s first regular-season game in 700 days.

The league wanted to suspend Watson for at least one season over sexual misconduct allegations but settled for 11 games after an independent arbiter initially gave him a six-game ban.

Aside from battling the Houston Texans and some fans who are likely to taunt him, Deshaun Watson may have another not-so-visible opponent in his first NFL regular-season game in nearly two years.
