Delays and Closing of the Winter Weather School for Monday, January 30, 2023

Here is a list of school districts that are changing their schedules due to winter weather.

Abilene ISD – closed (updated at 7:57)

Abilene ISD will remain closed Monday, January 30, due to unsafe road conditions as a result of inclement weather. The County is urging our community to exercise caution and travel with caution if anyone has to leave home during this winter weather event. Visit www.abileneisd.org, neighborhood social media pages, and local media for more updates.

Abilene Christian University – delayed start

ACU’s Abilene Campus is postponing the start of classes and reopening offices until 10am today due to icy roads in the Abilene area.

Veribest ISD – Noon Release

As a precautionary measure, VISD has determined that the safest option for our students today is to be released at noon. Buses will run at 12:00. Please stay safe on the roads. Parents can discharge their children any time before noon.

Wylie ISD (Abilene) – Closed

Wylie ISD will be closed on Monday, January 30 due to dangerous road conditions. We will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the week and will keep you updated. Stay safe and warm, bulldogs!
