California’s first lady makes films about gender justice and sells them to public schools

California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his wife, “first partner” Jennifer Siebel Newsom, are running a nice money-making scheme: “He runs the state, and she’s a non-profit founder, entrepreneur, and filmmaker,” according to Open the Books.

“While her husband takes care of government affairs, Sibel Newsom pursues her passion: advancing ‘gender justice’ through her charitable non-profit project ‘Representation’. According to the tax documents, the organization is “committed to building a prosperous and inclusive society through films, education and community activism.”

Jennifer Siebel Newsom has reached out to government vendors and sponsors of the Governor’s campaign to make large gifts to her charity, The Representation Project.

Sibel Newsom, through her non-profit The Representation Project, has released four films promoting gender justice. The films are rented out to be shown to individuals, corporations and schools and come with their own lesson plans. Schools spend between $49 and $599 to show these films to children.

With her husband the governor, who would dare refuse her request?

See just a little conflict of interest?

I open the accumulated books and reports:

Jennifer Siebel Newsom is credited as the writer and director of each of these films. Two of the films feature Gavin Newsom himself, and many of the lesson plan activities focus on getting children involved in social and political activities.

Because of Gavin Newsom’s role in these films, and because the licenses are sold to schools funded through tax revenue by the governor, OpenTheBooks.com’s auditors felt the organization was worthy of further scrutiny.

Who’s watching? 2.6 million students in 5,000 schools.

“OpenTheBooks.com auditors watched Newsom’s films and read lesson plans. What we found was shocking at times: sexually explicit images, a political booster, and something called “Gender Bread Man.”

The Globe also saw the film Fact Misrepresentation High School. This is a documentary, but it conveys strong feminist and gender messages to schoolchildren aged 11-14:

  • Women as sex objects
  • Women/girls “disenfranchised”
  • Several female heroes in films
  • women/girls are portrayed as seeking only men, husbands, marriage, pregnancy
  • boys should be taught not to be “hyper-masculine” or “misogynist”.
  • High school kids are served images of flipped strippers with little to no room for imagination.
  • “gender person” who seeks to show children how biological sex, “gender expression”, “sex attraction” and “gender identity” exist on a spectrum that can be mixed and matched.

The film is not age appropriate for middle school students, and it really does not belong in the school curriculum. This is pure propaganda.

Open the Books moved on to Sibel Newsom’s film The mask you live in which contains the website addresses of porn sites including Porn Hub, MassiveCams, BDSM.XXX and Brazzers.com. The pornographic images shown in the film are tagged with descriptions such as “dominance”, “face fucking”, “kinky couples” and “…dirty brunettes”.

“Sibel Newsom has included images of naked or near-naked women being beaten, handcuffed and abused in pornographic videos. Images are graphic even when blurry. Screenshots of these scenes can be found HERE (RECOMMENDED BY VIEWER).” The film claims it will show “how we as a society can raise a healthier generation of boys and young men” and help “shape a nationwide dialogue about healthy masculinity”.

Open the Books also features the Lesson Plans for Project Representation, which promote radical ideas of gender and sexuality:

One such lesson for middle and high school students involves “gender person” which seeks to show children how biological sex, “gender expression”, “sex attraction” and “gender identity” exist on a spectrum that can be mixed and matched. . .

While kindergartners are spared the gender person in their curriculum, they are offered similar lessons on “gender identity” by introducing genders other than “boy” and “girl”.

Gavin Newsom featured in Miss Representation and Great American Lie like himself, talking about how he appointed women as police chiefs and fire chiefs when he was mayor of San Francisco, but only because they were the “most qualified” people for the job.

“Newsom speaks three times in Miss Representation and portrayed as a women’s rights activist – see this example from the high school curriculum video (18:37).”

This is shameless political propaganda and is being shown to younger students.

“Getting money from schools to portray your politician husband as a stand-up guy in front of captive kids in the classroom was such a winning idea that Sibel Newsom turned it around again in Great American Lie,” according to Open the Books.

Great American Lie explores the roots of systemic inequalities through a unique gendered lens,” Sibel Newsom says on the film’s page. “As America grapples with growing economic inequality and stagnant social mobility, this film sends viewers into empathy, inspiring to move forward.”

Open the Books summarizes the real threats of the films:

Children forced to watch Project Representation films in schools are exposed to more than just gender ideology, sexually explicit depictions and Gavin Newsom’s witticisms. They are given a leftist framework through which they see the world and then encouraged to become social and politically active.

AT Great American Lie The curriculum asks students to take a “privileged walk” by divulging personal information in order to compare themselves to peers in and out of the classroom. “Privileges” include being “cisgender male”, “white”, “born in the United States”, “heterosexual”, and speaking English as a first language.

Partner One Requests State Suppliers and Governor’s Campaigners

In January, the Globe published an Open the Books report that found in California spending “979 public providers who donated $10,561,828 in political contributions to Gavin Newsom during his 2010, 2018, revocable and 2022 election cycles.” In the meantime, these companies have received $6,201,978,173 in government payments.”

This is an investment of $10.6 million, bringing in $6.3 billion in profit.

Open The Books also found that donations from “pay to play” vendors went to the first partner, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who they say engaged public vendors in donations to her charity, The Representation Project, which has generated an income of $17,489,680.

Open the Books says, “Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s non-profit, The Representation Project, is raising money from those who support the governor and government providers, despite the fact that their charity registration in the state has expired.”

Project Performance combats sexism and “promotes gender justice”.
