Bronx rapist threatened women with hammer, knife as he demanded money: court papers

The sex attacker busted for raping two women at the same Bronx hotel threatened to kill one with a knife and the other with a hammer before stealing money using an app on their smartphones, according to new court papers.

Dashawn Williams, who was once busted in the rape of a 15-year-old girl, was arrested Saturday and charged with rape and menacing for the two attacks at the 7 Days Hotel on Bruckner Blvd. near Havemeyer Ave. in Castle Hill.

Police released surveillance video of a man who authorities said raped two women in the Bronx who posted sex for money ads online.

In the first attack, the morning of Sept. 17, Williams allegedly followed the 25-year-old victim back to her hotel room, stuck his foot in the door so she couldn’t shut it on him, then forced his way inside, court papers said.

There, according to the documents filed Sunday in Bronx Criminal Court, he pulled a knife from his backpack.

After the victim handed over $1,200, Williams allegedly threatened her with the blade as he forced her to perform oral sex and raped her despite the woman saying in Spanish, “Please don’t do anything.”

Before leaving, Williams, 28, took the victim’s smartphone and unlocked the Face ID feature using her face, the papers said. Once he had access to the device, Williams allegedly sent himself $200 from her CashApp account.

Dashawn Williams has been charged with rape and menacing for two attacks at the 7 Days Hotel on Bruckner Blvd. near Havemeyer Ave. in Castle Hill.

The second rape happened the morning of Nov. 8.

Williams, responding to an online sex-for-money ad, pulled a knife on a 25-year-old woman and demanded money.

Then, according to the papers, he took a hammer from his pocket and again threatened the woman.

She handed over $1,700, but Williams wasn’t satisfied, the papers show.

“Is that everything,” he allegedly asked. “I am going to hurt you if it’s not everything.”

With that, he grabbed the victim’s phone and forced her to unlock it, at which point he stole $149 from her CashApp account, then raped her and forced her to perform oral sex as he threatened to “knock you out,” the papers said.

Both women refused medical attention.

Williams was arraigned Sunday and ordered held on $50,000 cash bail or $75,000 insurance bond for each incident.

In 2015, he was arrested and charged with rape and acting in a manner injurious to a child after he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl, police said.

He served almost three years behind bars.
