Bridgeport ISD to Vote on $185M Bond to Fund District Improvements

The Bridgeport Independent School District Board of Regents is calling for a $185 million bond election on May 6.

The bond proposal will be divided into three parts: facility improvements, capital projects, and county-wide improvements.

Improvements to the facility will include renovations to Bridgeport High School, Bull Memorial Stadium, and the construction of a second elementary school. The bond will also include the addition of a high school assembly hall and protective cover for student athletes and band members in inclement weather.

Capital projects will include upgraded floors, roofs, interior finishes and heating, ventilation, cooling systems and playground equipment throughout the area.

District improvements will include increased safety and security, funding for equipment and fine arts, and improved transportation and bus service.
