Bonsai tree stolen from Japanese Friendship Garden at Balboa Park in San Diego

According to representatives of the garden, one of the priceless bonsai trees was stolen from the Japanese Garden of Friendship in Balboa Park.

According to them, two people walked past the plant and grabbed it. The theft was caught on CCTV cameras.

The tree only costs about $500, according to the garden manager, but it takes a lot of time, effort, and dedication to keep trees healthy.

“I would like to talk to the people who took it,” said Joe, the operations manager. “It’s of no value to you. You can return it to us. We’re not going to press charges against you if you return it. It would be nice if you could return it. It takes a lot of work and a lot of people don’t have time to take care of such a plant, and it may eventually die.”

Garden officials said something similar happened nine years ago. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the garden on tel.
