Bengals CB Eli Apple mocks Bills’ Damar Hamlin, Stephon Diggs and Josh Allen on social media

The Cincinnati Bengals outplayed and overtrained the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Cincinnati took a 27-10 victory en route to a second straight AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. After the win, one would have thought Bengals players would look ahead, but at least one player decided to take multiple shots at different Bills players on social media.

Cornerback Eli Apple made fun of Damar Hamlin, Stephon Diggs and Josh Allen on Twitter on Monday night.

Apple tweeted Stephon Diggs about how he was not happy with the way the team lost on Sunday. In a tweet, Apple wrote: “Cancun at 3″ with a hand heart emoji.

Three, of course, represents the number Damar Hamlin wore this season for Buffalo, and the hand-shaped heart emoji is the symbol he is known as a member of the Bills. Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest at Paycor Stadium at the end of the regular season against the Bengals. He improved a lot from that point on, even attending a divisional round game, but it was a low blow nonetheless as safety nearly killed him in the regular season game against Cincinnati.

Apple continued its social media rundown by showing a video of Stephon Diggs yelling at Josh Allen and Joe Brady during Sunday’s loss. In the quoted tweet Apple wrote“Someone gets them in couples therapy. I will pay God.”

While Apple was having fun on social media, it’s clear that someone in the Bengals organization didn’t. The cornerback retracted his original tweet that featured a heart emoji and Cancun at 3, stating that he would never take Hamlin’s situation lightly.

“All the love of the thought of prayer and care for [Damar Hamlin] while he continues to recover from that tragic incident.” Apple tweeted. “Never would I neglect this terrible unfortunate scene. This game is a truly dangerous risk to our body, mind and spirit. Nothing but love for all my football brothers.”

Apple has jumped the league in its career. With the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the New York Giants traded the quarterback to the New Orleans Saints for a fourth and seventh round pick in 2018. doggystyle in the locker room in 2017.

A poor performance in New Orleans resulted in the Saints forfeiting Apple’s fifth-year option. He would sign with the Carolina Panthers in 2020 but was released by the team in October of that season. Apple will finally sign with the Bengals in 2021. The cornerback is due to become a free agent at the end of the season and may sign with his fifth NFL team in 2023.
