Bayonetta revives the calm week of March | Caser Focus

In case you missed it, GamesBeat’s Resident Evil 4 Remake review is out today. The reason I’m talking about this now is because it ate up most of my week. It was a sacrifice I was willing to make because I was looking forward to this game. However, I hid my head in the sand for part of the week. I don’t think I missed too much, but at least I have a new Bayonetta game.

It may be the aforementioned myopia, but I feel like I’ve been hearing a lot this week about the deal between Microsoft and Activision. To be honest, I’m a little tired of this. They’ve entered a bargaining phase and it’s no longer fun to watch. I don’t care who Microsoft will sing and dance for this week – the steps and the words are the same. In good news, we have a release date for the highly anticipated System Shock remake. Hopefully soon we will finally be able to play it.

I don’t even need to tell you what I’ll be playing this weekend – I think the title gave it away. However, I might as well try the Diablo IV beta (assuming, of course, that it doesn’t crash and that I can wait in line). Coral Island, which is fast becoming a handy game, has also received a new update that I’ll probably check out too if I have time. There may not be many games coming out this week, but Bayonetta is more than enough for me.

One last thing, while I was writing this, I heard about the death of actor Lance Reddick. It’s sad to lose a man who voiced (and sometimes a semblance of) the likes of Sylens, Commander Zavala, and Martin Hatch from Quantum Break. Hell, I hated Quantum Break, but I loved having him in it. He also played a live action version of Albert Wesker on the recent Resident Evil Netflix show. His presence was incomparable and I will miss him.
