Ant-Man wins the Super Bowl! Paul Rudd filming a commercial during a big game

LOS ANGELES — Sometimes a superhero just wants to kick back with a beer, but he has to go save the world and all that. Now he has an alternative.

Paul Rudd, who played Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania, has teamed up with Heineken to promote their non-alcoholic beer in a new Super Bowl ad.

“It was really good,” Rudd said on the red carpet. “Sometimes you want a beer, right? But it’s probably not the best idea.

In the commercial, Rudd’s Ant-Man is in a beer lab when an ant approaches him and apparently chides him for drinking on the job. Rudd flips the bottle over to show him that it is in fact alcohol-free and then goes on a mission.

Rudd said, “Non-alcoholic booze and Ant-Man go together like two peas in a pod.”

And while he enjoys his new partnership, Rudd says he reserves the right to celebrate with real alcohol if his beloved Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in a big game.

“If they win, I’ll switch to regular,” Rudd laughed.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania is in theaters February 17th.

Disney is the parent company of Marvel and this ABC station.
