A landslide is reported on the 1500 block of the Pacific Coast Highway, 2 blocks from the McClure Tunnel.

03/15/23: Air traffic controllers on Wednesday morning received a report of debris in the middle of the PCH. The message came on 03/15/23, at about one in the morning. The debris may have accompanied a landslide or a landslide off the cliffs below Palisades Park. Such landslides are rare in Santa Monica, but they do happen, and the authorities have taken steps to stabilize the rocks.

The 911 call came in the middle of a 2-inch rainstorm in Santa Monica, about the middle of a 24-hour period.
