A flight attendant tries to track down the owner of a cat that broke free on a cross-country flight.

On Thursday evening, JetBlue Flight 354 en route from Ontario, California to New York, Kennedy, broke free. The pet in the cabin got out of the carrier and ran across the plane. The stewardess grabbed it and went to look for its owner.

A passenger took this photo, and it’s priceless: the expression on the flight attendant’s face is: “Someone better get this cat quickly. They don’t pay me enough for it.” And look at the blond passenger on the left. Her fun knows no bounds.

Redeye flights bring out the strangest passenger behavior. Everyone is exhausted. Of course, some people fly there because it’s the only flight option (it’s the only JetBlue flight between the two cities), while others choose it because it’s cheaper – perhaps the airline is working to use aircraft more efficiently, not to get high yield.

That said, a cat on an airplane is perfect – for anyone who doesn’t have allergies – but mostly for anyone who follows the news on social media. Because cats! And puns!

At least the passengers had a story when they landed, and whoever they saw first was sure to ask, “How was your flight?”
