Rangers rescued a 70-year-old snowmobiler who was critically injured after being thrown from his sled at Stillwater Reservoir in Webb, Herkimer County.

A 70-year-old New Jersey snowmobiler was ejected from his snowmobile on February 26 after he ran into an uneven patch of ice or a stump at the Stillwater Reservoir in the town of Webb, Herkimer County. An 18-year-old teenager from Brooklyn ran out of food and water on February 23 while camping in the wild forest of Overlook Mountain near Echo Lake. Four rangers provided food and water for the trudging hiker and helped him get to the start of the trail.

A 75-year-old West Shokan resident got lost on the evening of Feb. 20 while walking through the Sandown Wild Forest in Ulster County after she lost track and her mobile phone battery died, leaving her with no other source of light. The rangers reached the hiker 15 minutes later and helped her back into the car at the start of the trail.
