29-year-old man arrested, charged with capital murder for fatal shooting in eastern Dallas, police say

DALLAS — A 29-year-old man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting in late September has been arrested, officials announced Wednesday. 

Byron Darnell Wade was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force and charged with capital murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Donnie Davidson, the Dallas Police Department said. 

When officers arrived, the victim, Davidson, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he later died. 

Following the fatal shooting, DPD announced Crime Stoppers would pay up to $5,000 for information that led to the arrest and indictment for the felony offense and other felony offenses.
